9.5 Exporting Reports
Updated today
Program Reports has three export actions: Export Data on the report list gives you a CSV of the filtered attempts or a detailed Excel workbook for one test, and Export PDF on an individual report prints that report. Both the Practice Test and Problem Set tabs support all of them.
Academy Owners, Admins, and Tutors can export reports. Students and parents cannot. Tutors do not see the Student Email filter, and contact fields come out blank in their exports.
How to Export a Report
Use Session list (CSV) to download the filtered report list, one row per matching attempt. The CSV uses the filters and sort order currently applied to the active tab.
Open the program in the left sidebar and click Reports.
On the Practice Test or Problem Set tab, click Filters, set your conditions, and click Apply Filters.
Click Export Data and choose Session list (CSV).
The button reads Queueing... while the export is queued, and a confirmation tells you the file is ready soon.
Open the Exports tab on the Reports page and download the file when its status is Ready.
The CSV includes Student Name, Student Email, Mobile Number, the assessment name, Started At, Submitted At, Time Taken, Raw Score, Score %, Status, and the Public Report Link. Practice Test CSVs add Type and Scaled Score.
Filter before exporting. An unfiltered export includes every attempt in the current list, and the attempted-date range has no maximum window.
Export question attempts as an Excel workbook
Use Question attempts (Excel) for a detailed workbook of one assessment. It is scoped to the assessment you pick here, not to the filters on the list behind it.
On the Practice Test or Problem Set tab, click Export Data and choose Question attempts (Excel).
In the Export question attempts dialog, select the assessment. If the list's assessment filter already has exactly one test or problem set selected, it is preselected for you.
Set the Finalized between date range. An empty range includes all finalized attempts. The start date must come before the end date, and a future end date is clamped to now.
Under Attempts to include, choose All attempts, First attempt only, or Latest attempt only. The first and latest options select one finalized attempt per student for the chosen assessment.
Confirm the export, then download the file from the Exports tab when it is Ready.
The workbook has three sheets: Attempts (one row per selected attempt), Question Attempts (one row per question attempt), and Sections (one row per section). Problem Set exports omit the Sections sheet.
The Excel export does not inherit the list's status, student, or date filters. Only a single assessment preselected from the list's filter carries over.
Export a single report as a PDF
Each individual report has its own Export PDF action in the report header.
On the Practice Test or Problem Set tab, find the student and click View Report. This action appears only for completed attempts.
In the report header, click Export PDF. The browser's print dialog opens with a printable version of the report, titled Practice Test Attempt Report or Problem Set Attempt Report depending on the report type.
Save it as a PDF from the print dialog.
The same header also offers Export attempt data, which opens the question-attempt Excel export for that individual attempt.
Track your exports
The Exports tab on the Reports page lists every export with its status: Queued, Building, Ready, Failed, or Expired. Download files while they are Ready; each file stays available for 30 days, then expires and asks you to run the export again. A Failed export shows the error message behind it. Download history is visible to Owners and Admins only.
