6.3 Preview & Publishing

Before assigning a problem set to students, EdisonOS allows you to preview the exact experience a student will have including the interface, question flow, and post-completion report.

How to Preview a Problem Set

  1. Find the problem set in either the EdisonOS Library or My Library.

  2. Click the Preview button on the problem set card.

  3. A student-view simulation will launch. You will see the system readiness check screen, just as a student would.

  4. Click Start Preview to begin walking through the problem set as if you were a student.

  5. You can answer questions and navigate through the full experience.

  6. To exit preview at any time, click the Menu button and select Save and Exit.

Always preview a problem set before assigning it especially if you have just created it or recently edited the questions. This is your chance to catch formatting issues, missing answers, or unclear instructions before students see them.

What You See After Exiting Preview

After exiting preview, EdisonOS will show you a dummy report a sample of exactly what the student-facing report will look like once they complete the problem set. This lets you verify the reporting experience before it goes live.

Publishing & Assigning

Once you are satisfied with the preview:

  1. Go back to the problem set.

  2. Click Assign.

  3. Configure the delivery settings (Mode, Attempts, Resume, Show Summary).

  4. Select the students or class to assign it to.

  5. Confirm the assignment.

You can assign the same problem set multiple times to different groups with different settings. For example, Tutor Mode for one class and Exam Mode for another.
