13.2 Academy-Level Settings
Academy Settings control the global configuration of your academy including its name, branding, communication details, and default experience settings for students. Changes made here affect the academy as a whole, not just your individual profile.
How to Access Academy Settings
Click your name or profile icon in the top-right corner of the Academy App.
Select Academy Settings from the dropdown menu.
Academy Settings are organized into three sections: Academy Identity, White label Identity, and Experience Defaults.
Academy Identity
This section controls the core identifying information of your academy as it appears on the platform.
Setting | Description |

Academy Name | The name of your academy as displayed across the platform and in all student-facing communications |
Communication Email | The email address used for system notifications and all outgoing student communications — assignment alerts, enrollment confirmations, and so on |
Set your Communication Email to an actively monitored address ideally a shared team inbox rather than a personal email. All student notification replies and system alerts will go to this address, so it should be checked regularly by your admin team.
White label Identity
White label Identity settings allow you to replace EdisonOS's default branding with your own academy's visual identity. This section is available on Pro, Scale, and Enterprise plans only.

Favicon | Upload a favicon (small browser tab icon) that represents your academy |
For the best visual result, upload a logo with a transparent background (PNG format recommended). A logo with a white background box can look out of place depending on the platform's header color.
Experience Defaults
Experience Defaults control platform-wide behaviors that apply to students as their baseline settings.
Setting | Description |

Academy Time Zone | Sets the default time zone applied to all newly enrolled students |
Important behavior to understand:
Changing the academy time zone will automatically apply to all students enrolled after the change is saved.
Students who were already enrolled before the change will keep their current time zone setting.
Existing students can update their own time zone individually from their own profile settings.
